88 Films released the theatrical version of Paul Verhoeven's Hollow Man (2000) on 20 April 2020.

Previously, 88 Films had released both the theatrical and director's cut of the film in a limited edition on 8 July 2019:

It looks like this Blu-ray contains most, if not all of the the DVD extras that were missing from the Sony Blu-rays of the Director's Cut (which I believe 88 Films ported for their Limited Edition release) notably the audio commentary with Paul Verhoeven and Kevin Bacon and the isolated score track with portions of commentary by Jerry Goldsmith, which are the Dolby Digital 2.0 and Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, respectively. A trailer for the film is also included.

English subtitles are HoH in a smaller white font.

I thought about the CE, but I really don't want to see the sequel, and the specs really made it seem like 88 had just put the Sony disc in the pack for the DC, something which I seemed so remember reading was confirmed, even though it has its own silkscreening (this solo disc also has unique silkscreening but the menu is from the CE art and the disc itself is probably identical).

I know the CE was £9.99 at one point, but for whatever reason I couldn't pull the trigger when all I wanted from that set was the newly-encoded disc with the theatrical cut.

The sequel is a bit lame but it's nice to have for completeness. I wish 101 had included the Screamers sequel in the recent release even though it's also a poorly executed effort . Another Sony vault title , if anyone ever gets round to it, The Glass House, now that has a straight to cable tv/dvd sequel that is as good as the parent movie, even though it just rehashes the same story.

It was my understanding the Theatrical Cut was the “Director’s Cut” and this was another studio cut that merely reinstated deleted footage that was on the older release as Deleted Scenes in the extras? Is the commentary new or just edited back in from the Theatrical Cut release? If so, is it referred to as a directors cut by Verehoven?
