Hopefully we'll also see a UK release of 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey' too, currently only available in US (A locked Shout Factory releases) and in Germany.

Is Bogus with MGM in the UK? Might have to get it licenced to say Arrow or something.

Wonder if there will be a 4k UHD version or just a regular blu-ray with a new 4k master ?

"In 4K" sounds promising. StudioCanal have been most excellent at releasing 4K, BDs and DVDs of new masters.

True. Fingers crossed then.

It would be most bogus if they didn't do a 4k disc.

MGM worldwide.

Excellent Adventure is MGM in the States and StudioCanal here (through them owning the De Laurentiis catalogue).

I wonder if anyone will nab the US UHD rights from MGM? Shout already did that double pack didn't they (it helps that both movies are under MGM in the US) so if they just have to port across the SC 4K transfer it'd be a no brainer.

Will be holding out for a trilogy box set. Hopefully the US will get it with the MGM rights.

Just as I end up finding an older StudioCanal copy, this comes out?

I was literally stroking my chin over the current SC disc, recently.

Bogus Journey getting a cheap-ish German release in August:

A deluxe set with more animated episodes as bonus features would be most welcome.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been searching for the mediabook for months and I HATE mediabooks.

Does that mean it's unlikely we'll get a Bogus Journey 4K transfer anytime soon?

The thing that worries me is about how long a 4K version of Bogus Journey will take, because it took a whole four years after Excellent Adventure's Blu-Ray for its sequel to come out on the same format.

Well MGM don't seem to give two shits about much these days, but having a new feature on the horizon may lead them to licence it out. But a 4K release is less likely.

Do you think the HD transfer of Bogus Journey that already exists is fine enough?

I think the only 4K Blu-Rays MGM released themselves were the Daniel Craig James Bond movies.
