Anyone know which courier they use for larger items? I'm thinking of getting the Vincent Price 6 Gothic tales box set from them.

Hit and miss. I have got some titles before release date but other late.

If a mainstream title you are much more certain to get on the Saturday before release date if you use HMV or Tesco.

Depends on whether or not it's coming from Switzerland.

They ship from Switzerland for VAT avoidance purposes on some items under £15. They moved there after the Government moved the mail order VAT free limit to 0 from the Channel Islands.

Just dropped a line to their Helpdesk as Australia has dropped off the list of approved shipping destinations. All orders fail at the checkout stage.

Might be old news to some, but I just discovered base finally raised its shipping rates to the US. I believe it used to be £1.69 per disc and now it's £2.99.

I believe that £2.99 rate is locked in to my Dawn of the Dead 4K set in the Fall.

Just checked it bc I placed an order a few weeks ago with the £1.69 rate. And like cheez said, heavier sets were £2.99, but if you check now it costs...£29.99! to ship the Dead set.

this will definitely affect my ordering process. I will no longer order MoC titles from Base - Eureka is now cheaper with free shipping. For non-MoC titles, it will depend. I will probably buy arrow films directly from arrow. For indicator titles, I still might get it from Base as indicator charges more for S&H. Doubt I will use amazon/zavvi too much as their shipping is high, unless I buy in bulk

That 29.99 cost may be to make up for all the US orders they charged too little for.

Either way, these new shipping charges, across all sites, are crazy. Deff was 6.99 now 16.99. It looks like 88 Films removed their free shipping reward too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eureka stops the free shipping.
