I don't think you will hear a difference in better sound if you ask me. There is also a small loss of the signal, and this happens anytime you split any signal, but it is minimal. With my set-up, the Y-splitter simply gave me the ability to set-up 2 subs (only 1 sub out on the 605) I wanted it to fill the small pockets or db voids in my basement. I feel now that the bass is more evenly distributed no matter where you sit, so that part to me makes it sound tighter.

By the way, if you would like to look around and compare, here is where I got my Y-splitter at......it is a few bucks more, but for just a few bucks, I "felt" like these were better cables, even though they very well might not be. But for a couple extra dollars, I figured I could afford it, LOL!

They work very well. I have the same set-up, and once you balance the 2 subs, it sounds sweet!

I bought the monoprice one, and then bought this one...its a much thicker wire...which is what I was looking for...more like a sub cable than a RCA cable...

the thicker, the better, right?

Yeah, I felt the same way, as I originally had the monoprice one and thought it looked a little small to handle a sub.

I am using this Y-cable on my sub. Nice quality and not expensive.
