Well, tomorrow's the day Apple announces iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 10.16, watchOS 7, and of course, tvOS 14.

Aside from the potential for a new Apple TV box announcement (upgraded processor, bigger storage options, and possible new remote), the only rumored features for tvOS 14 is a new Kids mode, Screen Time features, and a redesigned Apple TV+ layout.

Obviously, an announcement about Disney 4K would be great. I've also been vocal about wanting to see 4K TV episodes/seasons available on iTunes. Both would be great announcements in my book, though I won't be holding my breath for either.

I'd love to see a fix for the "bug" where the iOS TV app doesn't show "HD" tags on HD titles imported from Movies Anywhere. That's always been annoying, as well as several other minor fixes that I'd like to see, but are certainly minor changes that doesn't require a major firmware upgrade.

What TV features/announcements would you like to see tomorrow?

EDIT: My subject title was supposed to be WWDC '20, not Wwdc '20.

My Wishlist used to be -

The ability to organise our libraries into playlists so my Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, etc. can be group together

that Apple makes a rule that distributors need tag movies with the correct genre and add more genres like War, Crime, etc.

Still want those but I put a lot of effort into MyMovieBuddy app that does this for though - makes easier to what to watch.

Now if only I could get the time to watch them :P

My main desire is the ability to decide what to share in Family Sharing. And just restricting by age or anything but be ablate decide on an individual movie.

I hope the Kids Mode is that but I'll wait - don't want spoilers

Not that I ever really care about the genre listings, but I cannot stress the above enough. Apple's genre groupings are absolutely HORRIBLE. It'd give my OCD a fit if I cared about them, because they are SO random it's ridiculous.

Agreed. Google has a REALLY great implementation of this, and it'd be nice for Apple to do something like this, even if I never use it.

To be able to better adjust up next list - be able to manually order the content.
Additionally, better access to family sharing content in macos Apple TV App.

It is a testament to the therapy I received years ago that the genre chaos only "irks me somewhat"!!

I share with my sister and there is little chance my younger kids or her kids would turn on anything without permission but I would feel better if we could browse without worrying about the imagery on the cover art.

It can be manually ordered. For example if you want to line up Harry Potter you "add to up next" movie number 8 first, then 7, etc.

I stayed with Mojave on my MacBook so I could keep iTunes.

Also thank for information that this is happening.

They brought out the new iPhone SE with no fuss at all. It was the iPhone I ad holding for for a long time as I thought the big phones look silly but I thought it would never happen so I got an 11 at Christmas.

I would have expected to be annoyed but I clearly love my 11 as I just shrugged it off when I saw the SE.

Yep. I'll be carrying my earpods to work tomorrow to listen to it while I work. I hope to hear some surprises as a lot of the rumored features sounds underwhelming for my lifestyle/routines.

Developer betas go out tomorrow, and public betas will probably be available some time in July, with iOS 14, etc. coming out in September (most likely).

I was concerned about bigger phones when I upgraded to the 7 Plus years ago. I found I really liked it, so switching to the XR and later the 11 was really nice, because it was a bigger screen in a smaller package.

I think the SE was supposed to get a little bit of a fuss (though not a lot as it's basically an upgraded iPhone 8). I just think COVID-19 changed that, and they were like, let's put it out there.

You are right - But that’s a pain in the butt. Moreso, sometimes I add a movie I found while browsing Prime to my up next - and then it’s number one. But what if I would want to watch the rest of my up next first? That’s the Problem. The number of times I have erased and rightly added content back and forth from up next is truly mind boggling; it must be easy to implement

This really isn't a problem for me.

If I don't know what I want to watch next, which is rare, I scroll through my Up Next until I find what I want to watch. I watch more TV than movies, so the Up Next is frequently putting new episodes of those shows ahead of things that I have less interest in.

I personally have no interest in this myself, but I think more options/customization is almost always good, so I hope you get it.

I would really like to see a new Apple TV but I don't know what they can really do to it to make it any better.

Outside of that I wish the Apple TV App for other devices would have Atmos and Disney App on the Apple TV would have Atmos.

Current rumors are bigger storage options (64gb/128gb), which is good for those who subscribe to Apple Arcade, as well as upgraded processor, and a redesigned remote.

I know someone who would probably be interested in a TV app for Windows 10.

Any changes to Disney (Disney+?) would be done by Disney.

There have been a few announcements that didn't impress me but it is Apple so I just assume they are great ideas that didn't understand.

Like when Apple Maps was wonky at it's launch, people were moaning or delighting in the problem. The BBC (I think) stopped a dapper looking older gentlemen outside an Apple store and expected him to moan but he just said his iPhone might not lead him where he wanted to go but if Apple thought he should be someplace else then then he would follow their wisdom.

Strange thing is once you start using them the big iPhone are not as awkward or oversized as the seem.

I was surprised Cook and company didn't just stream an Apple Event for SE anyway. They only have been missing the audience and might have grabbed more viewers than normal.

I've only removed movies from the up next list so far have not encountered that problem.

Plus, Prime, Disney+ etc are so far not connect the to the AppleTV app in Ireland.

Would be nice if that happened tomorrow. Although I would probably still just open Disney+

Actual Ireland sill doesn't have Siri on AppleTV so that would be good.

I can't imagine hat could be improved with a new box, but they have people liked in a room somewhere thinking of it.

LOL!!!

Apple Maps gets a bad rap. I was one of the last areas of the continental U.S. to get updated with the new design, but I'm LOVING it. Just waiting on Look Around to go nationwide. Hopefully that's an announcement coming tomorrow.

It's VERY possible Apple might announce the European roll-out of their updated Apple Maps tomorrow. Here's hoping they announce it, and Ireland is one of the first countries coming!

100% agree on the phone sizes. Holding a smaller phone now seems really strange now.

They were probably thinking making a big deal about the phone might've seen insensitive to what's going on.

Been a while since we been anywhere new or unfamiliar that needed any map app and Look Around is something I have overlooked.

I just tried it at Time's Square expecting it to be just like StreetView but being able to zip around the streets is really cool. I've use to travel a long distance and it seems like it will just keep going? Is there a point were it will stop?

It was early in the lockdown so maybe a wise choice. People would have flocked to the stream two weeks later

Yes. If you zoom out on the Map while in Look Around mode, you can see the (current) boundaries of the feature. The areas covered will be in blue lines.

Here's a really great link talking about it:

Apple Maps “Look Around”

Since this is the digital video section, I'll bring it back on topic and say that I wouldn't mind seeing Apple bring the Look Around feature to tvOS. That sounds like a cool way to waste some time. LOL!!

Anything they want to add is fine but not iMessage, email or any social media.

I wouldn't put iMessage on my AppleTV (don't do social media) but I object to it on AppleTV on principal.

My biggest wish: give me an option to only see content that I can actually watch in the TV app. It's a total mess at the moment.
