found the above on USA Today -- I wonder if a new Updated BLURAY is to follow?

Holding off on the blu until we find out.

This was a unique movie.

i own the blu and i personally think it looks (and sounds ) spectacular

Hmmm, well that's good info obviously. I wonder what the "restored" or whatever, version, will have.

It was debuted at the San Francisco International Film Festival.

Anyone know if there are plans to release this 'restored' version?

makes sense that it has been "restored" as the Blu ray was from an old 1080i master

Yeah I just bought last week....the PQ is only OK and could be much better. Now having said that..it looks better than it ever has though.
