Those two titles only went OOP because the WB/Paramount deal ended and Paramount ended up reissuing them. Get Carter is strictly WB property so if they let it go OOP chances are it'll stay that way, much like THE ART OF WAR.

The Get Carter remake was produced by Franchise Pictures and that whole library's output is pretty much OOP (Driven, Battlefield Earth, etc.). Not sure with them bankrupt if Warner has anything to do with that library now or if they let it go like Morgan Creek and Regency (Warner only distributed the movie, they didn't actually produce it). Or, it might possibly tied up in litigation at this rate, who knows.

There are international releases that are the same disc WB released here and they can be found for cheap (or used to be anyway).

The Morgan Creek and Franchise titles seem to have gone to Sony for distribution, or in some cases have been licensed to Shout Factory. If Get Carter another go on Blu-ray it would most likely come from one of those two sources.

I also was fortunate enough to recently find the 2000 Get Carter @ DT. Wow - amazing price for a Blu that is OOP & somewhat expensive these days online.

Just watched the film - the print & audio were fantastic; nice upgrade from the DVD.

Great story, action scenes, and fantastic soundtrack. I attest this is one of Stallone's top films; I actually think this & Copland are his two best movies.

I saw that Get Carter film in theaters and it was garbage. Also saw Art of War in theaters, but the director recycled the ending of his much superior film (and one of the best films of the 90's) The Assignment, with Aidan Quinn and Ben Kingsley, and used it in AOW.

For anyone who is still looking to add Get Carter, it is available on eBay right now. Not sure for how long.

Any chance of this getting a re-release? I’m still trying to complete my Stallone blu-ray collection.

It'll probably show up as a Sony MOD title at some point, as they've been going through the Morgan Creek titles that used to be with WB.

Nighthawks & Get Carter are my two favourite Stallone movies and I do have both on Blu-Ray I'd love both on 4K. If lockup can get a 4K these two should as well hopefully.

I reckon you'd still be able to find it at Dollar Tree and places like that.

I have seen Dollar Tree cut their DVD and Blu-ray selection down a ton. Most of the titles were not moving. I would just bite the bullet for $20 on it instead of going back and forth to Dollar Tree and Big Lots. The odds of them getting more copies at some point are very slim. It's worth it still if you really like the movie. You never know with a reissue but I have not heard of it getting the 4K treatment or reissued.

Unless your on foot or bike think of the gas blown looking for that movie the last 2 years adds up to likely more than the cost of the movie itself. $20 isn't bad.
