There should be a pop-up menu once the movie starts playing and then go to audio options and select the English Dolby TrueHD track

That is what I can't find. There is a menu tab or something like that. I have no problem finding this with any other disk and I have about 90!

If you hit the pop up menu, it is under languages I believe.

Toggle the audio button on your players remote.

blu-ray's should always default to the highest quality audio available to the movie. you should have to go into the menu to dial it down to a DD or DTS core. The movie should always start in the lossless audio, IMO!

I agree, wish Warner would get with the program already.

As long as the majority of BD consumers are limited to bitstream lossy audio, whether because their receivers don't have HDMI, or hooked directly to a TV (which only support PCM or DD) certain companies will do this.

Paramount & Sony TrueHD releases use the "hidden" DD option which will stream that track based on how the player is set.

Rather than defualt to lossless, they should be able to examine the system and set it to what the system can handle. Not that hard really. Some code in the loading processes to do this?

Not yet I'm at work now But, I get off work early today and I am going to race home and get this damn thing sorted out. I agree this should default to the best audio not the second best option. To dickens with the mases !

Totally. This thread is proof enough that Warner's current strategy of defaulting to the lossy DD5.1 track is seriously flawed.

I wonder how many people have watched this movie (and other WB titles) and not even realised that they're not getting the best audio possible.

It's not like WB gives you much time to think after you put the disc in. The movie just... starts! :-(

They should use the "hidden" DD option like other studios and, apparently, they're in the process of moving towards that. But when is anybody's guess.
