Extemded/Uncut? That's interesting, was it cut after it played in cinemas at the time or pre-cut?

Wait, these "cut/uncut" versions will be also in the US steel or just in the UK one?
I'm asking because unless I am mistaken, some movie are cut in the UK, even in home video. if it is the case, is it possible that the so called "Uncut" version is just the international version we currently see in any releases from other countries? |

39 Steps is owned by ITV not Universal as it’s an early Hitchcock film made when he was still living in UK before his move to Hollywood. Is licenced to Criterion for US.

The versions of Psycho releases by Universal on DVD and BD is the same globally, so omits those few bits you mention. The UK’s BBFC has already approved the uncut version ready for this release. BTW at least in the UK the uncut version will be on the new BD as well so you can buy that if you don’t want a UHD. |
