Wait, these "cut/uncut" versions will be also in the US steel or just in the UK one?

I'm asking because unless I am mistaken, some movie are cut in the UK, even in home video.

if it is the case, is it possible that the so called "Uncut" version is just the international version we currently see in any releases from other countries?

As far as I'm aware, this is the first time the Uncut has surfaced since the original theatrical release (apart from Germany) and has a few extra stabby bits. And a bra, apparently.

There’s a Hitchcock 4K collection releasing in September which includes Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window and The Birds.

I'd missed that! If the 4k scans are done, it would be great to get steelbooks for the other 3 films in that collection in a similar art style.

39 Steps is owned by ITV not Universal as it’s an early Hitchcock film made when he was still living in UK before his move to Hollywood. Is licenced to Criterion for US.

Yes it’s only been on the Psycho in Turbine’s Psycho boxset in the US.

The versions of Psycho releases by Universal on DVD and BD is the same globally, so omits those few bits you mention.

The UK’s BBFC has already approved the uncut version ready for this release.

BTW at least in the UK the uncut version will be on the new BD as well so you can buy that if you don’t want a UHD.

Anyone got this in hand yet? I’m still skeptical that the mock-up only shows 1 disc. Could be Jurassic World 3D all over again.
