Does show slip covers as front covers work?

Just like the title says. Something that has always bugged me about the collection manager on the site is how members will upload crappy photos of the front cover and it won’t show the slip.

I only recently realized that this was an option to have Slips show as front cover which has always been my preference. Turns out I’ve had it selected for as long as I can remember but it still defaults to the front cover image not the slip image. I just deselected it and saved. The same images displayed. Now I’ve selected show slips as front covers again and no surprise, it still doesn’t work.

Is this a known issue and can we get it fixed?

Nope, to confirm it seems that it's not working.

But I also wouldn't assume it would be effective if it did work, due to:

- so many titles have slips in the front cover position (and no front cover)
- so many titles have ("3D") overviews in the (2D flat) slip front position
- so many titles have front cover and slip front swapped
- etc
