I would think about spreading out your left and right speaker, would open up the front sound stage a lot more.

Thanks I am working on doing that. My house was not built with HT in mind. I am really trying to figure out how to make the best out of it. I appreciate your input.

Gotta love the Boomerang channel!

Nice setup! That TV stand turned out great. Not sure if I ever commented on the final product before.

Love your gear! Specially your B&W speakers!

I'm just wondering, is there a specific reason why you chose to place your setup in the corner?

Thanks for all the great comments fellas! As of right now I don't have a choice. The way my room is laid out. Anyway I could move it would block a door or not centered properly. Always something right! I have one option I will try when we buy new furniture. But right now it's not ideal but it works.

The Marantz AV8003 arrived today. Now trying to learn how to work it properly. I am not going to run Audyssey for a least a week. I really want to get used to the sound without so when I do use Audyssey I have a baseline on what I like better. I have watched Transformers so far and it sounds great. A vase improvement over my yammy. Very natural sound, more detail, and more separation.

I only used my SPL meter so far to adjust things. Not familiar with all the options yet.

Awesome You come across a good deal on one let me know as I'm currently looking to get one. You got pictures of the rest of your room with the b&ws? I'm curious on the layout and maybe I can help you with better positioning other than that corner. What are you using for an amp with with the marantz 8003 pre/pro?

Well guys, I just pre ordered two Epik Empire subs. So should have them in May. I will also be ordering a SMS-1 to calibrate both subs. Which I am really excited about especially the on screen calibration. That's a huge seller for me since I won't need to use a computer. I may also get the Oppo 83 in two weeks. Not sure if I should get that or a XPA-2. Should I get the player or amp?

Also have been talking to my wife about speakers. I have always wanted b&w 802's. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the nautilus series. But my wife actually talked me out of it. She told me if I do all the things around the house she wants this year. She will allow me to get the 802d and center first quarter 2011. Now I am not talking about the lastest ones. I am going to try to land a demo or used pair locally. I could never justify paying 15k for a pair of speakers, that's just me.

Well either purchase would be a good choice.

I personally have always believed to get the Best Performance, you have to Start with your Source Components.
So with the Awards,Reviews, and customer love the Oppo-BDP83 is getting that is the move,I would make first.

But thats just me.You may feel, another amp to be beneficial to your situation(and it certainly cant hurt)

But if it were my system(Besides Smiling from ear to ear, that I have such a sweet system).I would go with the Oppo.

That way I know the Pre/Pre,Amps,and Speakers are all receiving the best source signal possible.

But as I said, its just my Two Cents Worth.

I guess my question is what are you trying to gain with the Oppo that your Sony doesn't already provide?

Not to mention source components change very often and the Oppo has been out for a while already.

Thanks for your input guys.

My thoughts are this on the oppo. My daugter is going to need a blu player very soon. So I figured I need to replace mine with something. I figured the oppo has great loading times. If I hook up the analog ports to my pro would it create a better sound over my Sony? Also wouldn't it play dvd's nicer don't care to much for this. I only watch a few dvd's that are not on blu. I also can't turn off the processor of my Sony to only allow my monitor to do all the work unless I am mistaken. I would also like to get a few sacd's I the future. Do these points warrent a purchase? I also like how the oppo looks.
