Default Push - June 9th release/ Opinions wanted

Push is getting a June 9th release in Canada so the US release date is probably the same.

Has anyone seen this? Is it worth a buy or just a rental?

I thought it was weird but good and worth a purchase especially if you like Camilla Belle.

So long as they give the PQ the right treatment, it will look amazing on blu.

Yea, Jumper was decent and entertaining. If Push is anything like that, I'll probably like it.

Really enjoyed this movie. Much better than Jumper and Heroes (at the very least not all of the characters are related to each other).

Looking forward to seeing it in blu.

I sat in the theater watching a chick flick w/ my wife and the LFE from "Push" on one side of us and "Taken" on the other was about to make me cry. I really liked "Jumper" and can't wait to see "Push" for the first time on my system at reference volume.

Hah! "Taken" is an AWESOME flick.

Wife and her students went to see "Push" and they all liked it. I guess you can chalk it down to a fun popcorn movie. Then again, she loved "Twilight".

I hated it. It was a boring rip-off of the show Heroes. It only had action in the last 30 minutes. Avoid this one.

And you think that Heroes is completely original? I'm surprised that it didn't get a wider theatrical release. Oh well.

I didn't really like Push. It was the exact same movie as Jumper except with different power and actors. The trailer looked promising, but there was only one real action sequence. Chris Evans was good but all the good character were pretty lame imo.Victor was the only character that I thought was interesting.

And the powers of the bad guy are ridiculous, the producer should have tought of something cooler.

No, I don't think that it's original, just saying that it is the most recent and it seemed most like the vibe from Heroes. Like the camera movements, cinematography, etc....
It really didn't do well in theaters at all.

Same. I'm a fan of supernatural ability / action films in general, as it's my favorite type of films to watch. So I can't wait to get this one on BR

I think Jumper was better. I saw Push in the theater expecting a Heroes-ish theme with a lot of action. The movie wasn't really that or exactly what I expected, for better or for worse. I'd like to give it another watch because it was pretty weird. Not sure I'd buy it, though. That's what the second watch would answer.

...isn't that exactly what the trailer looked like?
