Have to give it to '05. Naomi Watts is the best!

the original is an amazing piece of work... I can't think of any movie anywhere near it's time period that actually is exciting even today!

#2 is the 2005 version... very well made, beautifully shot... a worthy remake.

#3 is the '76 version that virtually eliminates the dinosaurs (bad move), offers a hippy Jeff Bridges, a beautiful (but at the time very untalented) Jessica Lange, and a wonderful music score by the incredible John Barry....

I thought that the '05 version was great. Peter Jackson is a great director and did the series justice.

Technically speaking the 2005 version is the best. Classically speaking the 1933 version is the best.

The 1933, the first is still the best. Even if the effects are a bit rough.

I wouldn't say rough. There is a charm to that kinda art form that we just don't see anymore.

I believe the poll is for the solo films, not the crossovers.

I was thinking more of the inconsistent size of Kong, not the actual stop motion itself.

Any true fan of movies knows exactly what they are getting when stop motion is involved.

I have no problems with the animation.
