The dog, for sure. Kept Pitt's character grounded, and of course, the end scene.

Toss up between DiCaprio and Pitt.

DiCaprio was awesome, but Pitt gave me the Bruce Lee scene and that final fight scene which was perfection. Plus he keeps DiCaprio's character in check for the most part. Brad Pitt gets the vote.

It's already considered one of his greatest performances and crowning achievements in his illustrious career.

Pitt may had the coolest character, but DiCaprio had unquestionably the most difficult, most complex, and most challenging role of the entire film.
