Yes, that's true. I remember some of those very early '90s episodes really creeping me out.

Netflix Drops ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ Evidence In Folder You’ll Inspect Yourself

Quote:
Netflix dropped Unsolved Mysteries last week, and fans have started coming up with their own theories to solve the real-life crime stories.

The platform encouraged fans to join in and begin their own investigations by releasing a Reddit thread filled with possible clues and evidence. Netflix posted a link to a Google Drive folder, which has been neatly organized according to the episodes. Each section includes videos and images for fans to learn more about the cases.

“Hey guys, Netflix here!” the post on r/UnsolvedMysteries reads. “We’ve created a public drive with all the assembled evidence, case files, interviews, and video clips for each story that didn't make it into the final episodes.”

The show’s Twitter account has also been actively responding to the tweets by viewers. There is also a link to a submission page, where fans can submit stories and tips to the show’s producers.

I'm enjoying the show. The early 90s series gave me nightmares.

The Alonzo Brooks ep has spawned renewed interest in the case. His body has been dug up after the tip line lit up with lotsa new calls. The FBI has labelled it a hate crime and reopened the case.

Watching this one now. Very sad. Reminds me of a former co-worker who lived in rural Missouri who told me he could do ANYTHING in the town he grew up in because his dad was a higher-up in law enforcement and his last name was recognizable anywhere in that area. To top it off, he held some sketchy views on anyone who didn't share his skin color.

I loved the first season (or volume), can't wait for more. I started watching the original series thanks to this too, which is of course great too.

Knocked out half of the episodes tonight. Good stuff. Third one will likely anger you some.

Kind of bummed it doesn't appear we get any updates from the last episodes...yet.

I got through the first four episodes of season 2 so far

Episode 1, bit of a head scratcher what happened. Guy was pretty connected, could've been mob, could've been his bipolar that led him to some random confrontation

Episode 2 - prob was espionage but whoever did it did an amazing clean up job

Episode 3 - yes like you said Brit, angering that the guy is still out there has has been able to lead a full life

Episode 4 - glad for a supernatural episode and the stories and setting were great but it didn't creep me out like these ones usually do

Binged the new episodes last night, minus the Japanese ghosts one which I didn't fully finish (all due respect to the victims and survivors; the stories and footage are horrifying, but I just don't believe in the supernatural stuff).

The first, second, and fifth episodes felt reasonably explainable. I'd vaguely heard of the Eubanks story, but seeing it play out like this was just infuriating. The last episode is tragic, but hopefully there's a happy ending waiting for those families.

Seeing the pictures of the missing kids in the last episode really saddens me. Some of them are over 30 years old now. I really hope they’re okay and be reunited with their families just like what happened to Carlina White.

Nice. I enjoy these type of shows and they're some if my favorite on YouTube, too.

Time to reactivate my NF account.

Don't be to hard on yourself, that episode got kind of long in the tooth. Maybe it's the new format, or that I'm like 25 years older, but the aliens and ghost stuff does nothing for me now.

I still have the final one to go....working 13 hour days is making it near impossible to watch anything this week. I feel asleep and basically had to watch the 5th episode twice.

Watched the first three episodes and pleasantly satisfied. These I'd say they were all murdered, the third one for example seems the father did it, but why? That's what no one knows.

Not looking forward for the UFO episode, but I'll keep an open mind.

I'm not saying I don't believe they saw a UFO, but where is the evidence? No one had a handheld camera to film it? Come on.

This is like people saying they saw ghosts, yet they never have any proof whatsoever of it.

By the way, polygraph tests are b.s. it could very well say you're telling the truth, but you could fake it. And vice versa.

Which is why they're inadmissible in court. They can be used to guide an investigation but not to come to any definitive conclusions.

The Japanese earthquake/tsunami episode in Season 2 hits hard, was tearing up a litle at one point. It was a fascinating episode, but not exactly the right fit for Unsolved Mysteries in my opinion. I think they could have probably expanded a little more, and actually made this a standalone feature-length documentary to be honest.
