Its crap you support them in hope they take out others but don't sometimes i wonder why i bother. I hate when you buy into tv shows and they just stop it on blu ray and continue on dvd.
For me i got rid of dvds 12 yrs ago.

I just got in contact with Random Space Media regarding a Blu-ray release of Season Two and they replied, “we will hopefully have some good news to report on this soon.”

Interesting text in that article:

"Allegedly there is a major difference to the digital version".

I read with Google translate so I guess that it could have been misinterpreted.

I've just received my Australian blu ray of Season 1, so I hope Season 2 finds a release somewhere soon.

Great news! Will this mean a small release like for Season 1? If memory serves I got my copy of season 1 from DVDShop via Amazon.au.

I didn't get into that with Random Space Media... I assume it will only be available through the same online retailers that all of their other releases have been so far, and not places like JB Hi-Fi, Sanity, Ezydvd, and Big W.

After checking the season one database listing, I noticed that it's not in many collections of local members that I recognise, which is a shame. I wonder if this is because not many local members like the show, or because it's not available at major local retailers like JB, and therefore can't get it on special for lower than au$19.98, which is what it currently costs from DVDShop on Amazon.au, or because they just haven't got around picking it up yet?

I was actually going to ask for review copy of Season 2 when it's released, for this forum, but since I was given a free copy of Season 1 last year from Universal Sony Australia, for the mix-up with the info regarding the legitimacy of it's release, I thought this time I want to support Random Space Media with my money.

I got in touch with Random Space Media regarding the Season 2 BluRay and I even asked what their plans were for Season 3 on BluRay. I knew about the above statement from RSM releasing S2 in December but thought I would still ask to see if anything has changed in the last 3 weeks. This was the reply

“Yes, we will be releasing season 2 in December.

We do plan to release season 3 next year.

Kind regards,
Shawn”

Really happy with that.

Season 3 next year? Do they not need to wait for the standard one year before a Netflix show gets a Blu-ray?

I didn’t know about. If they don’t need to wait 12 months, then it’s possible we could see a Season 3 BR late next year since S3 is airing in January.

Some bad news... I spoke to Random Space Media a short while ago, unfortunately things with this title have changed, they can no longer move forward with a Blu-ray release of season 2 at this time.

Dammit.

Did Random Space Media say why they can't move forward with the blu-ray?

I wonder if that messes up that Germany label's mediabook Blu-ray plans for seasons 1 and 2...

The rep I spoke with couldn't go into detail, but he did indicate that it was a Universal Sony decision. I wonder whether it has anything to do Netflix, and the increase in it's popularity since finding a new home there... This might not necessarily be a bad thing though, perhaps Universal Sony are planning to release it on Blu-ray themselves.
