Blu-ray Samurai

From "Return to Oz" to the films of the mid-1970s, all of the Rankin/Bass titles currently owned by Universal are in dire need of full restorations, before time runs out on them. "Rudolph," "Frosty," "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." These are just some of the titles that suffer from missing frames, dropped audio, poor color, scratches, etc.
Who's attention do we need to get to get the ball rolling on this? These little films are important to our culture, and I want to save them. |

Shout! has deals with all 3 studios who own a piece of the Rankin/Bass library; Universal/DreamWorks who owns the pre-74 library, Warner who owns the post-74 library, and StudioCanal who owns the Embassy-distributed films.
So I recommend asking them. |

The WB-owned specials are in very good shape. It's the specials owned by Universal that need love and attention.
