Which games will you have on your PS5 during launch window?

Been browsing new PS5 & older PS4 games.

Space is limited. We’ve seen leaks around internal storage suggesting we might end up with or around 650GB of free space once you boot up your PS5.

So which games are you looking forward to having on your PS5 on launch day/window?

I'm likely gonna be playing the free PS4 games since there's a lot on that list I never bothered buying.

I'll be installing FF7R to see how that preforms on PS5.

Other than that lots of PS4 games I haven't even started playing.

Other than that if SM can be had for less than retail I'll get it.

If i keep a PS5 come launch, then it would be a lot of PS4 titles and waiting for AC Valhalla etc. to go on sale a few months down the line. There's probably Miles Morales i'd give a go using an Upgrade Path.

Control I've never played before, by the way, though I have been meaning to pick it up for a long while. PS5 launch now seems like the right time to pick it up. I'll also have Cyberpunk 2077 but will try and hold out until the PS5 update, given that there will be plenty of other stuff for me to play. I expect I will have completed everything on Crash 4 by the time the new console lands but I may still be playing the XIII remake when launch day comes around.

If reviews are really good for Sackboy I might pick that up. Not really convinced by the footage I've seen though.

On the PS4 games to play in PS5 I’ll prolly do Ghost of Tshunima since I only played it a few hrs. And I plan to do some speed runs on REsident Evil 2&3.

Good lists.

Order I'll probably play on my PS5 day 1 to test the games out before diving into one of them:

Installed on PS5:
Astro's Playroom PS5 (for the first level)
Miles Morales Spider-Man PS5 (for the first two hours)
Watch Dogs Legion PS4 (for an hour)

And then I'll load up my PS4 external hard drive and test those out while inserting the USB stick game saves to install into the PS5 to access my old saves if all goes to plan there. Any PS4 games that are given PS5 updates I'll focus on first too.

900p Games on PS5:
I'm actually interesting in seeing how Star Wars Battlefront 1 (900p) and Watch Dogs 1 (900p) will look installed on PS5, so that'll be the first thing I do with the discs if that's how to directly install them onto the SSD. Or just use the external hard drive PS4 to install them hopefully. Installing them onto the PS5 is the only way they'll get the PS5 resolution boost hopefully.

I want to see those games in 1080p at least. That'll be cool. If they boost up to 4K, even better, but I wonder if it'll be artificial if there are no updates for those games for PS5. Plus Watch Dogs 1 dropped the Rest Mode on PS4, so I can't wait to be able to load it up in seconds where I left off on pS5.

For Watch Dogs Legion PS4, that's getting a PS5 upgrade November 24th, 2020, so I'm eager to update that one for the PS5 benefits, mostly likely raytracing and some other minor effects.


Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 won't be released till November 19th. November 19th, the European release of the PS5. That can't be a coincidence of the timing of that game's release. I thought at first that could be the world wide launch date. So that game will be exclusively played on my PS5 since it'll arrive after I get the PS5. I hope the PS5 upgrade arrives by Spring 2021.

For PS4 unless there is a lot more that I am missing (i.e. games are remastered and look and sound much better) I will continue playing them (if I want) on my PS4 pro.
