It's probably unlikely, but I do hope that Arrow put them out. The whole trilogy is terrific, but the third film is probably up there with the original Godzilla as my favourite kaiju film.

In all seriousness, FLCL was animated digitally in SD or something above SD but not quite HD.
The Blu-ray was already an SD upscale to 1080i and a 4K release would just be a very smeary or pixelated upscale unless they use AI for the upscaling process.

You mean composited in SD. The existing BD upscales are trash from the company who destriys anime- Q-Tec.

Definitely watch the 3rd film. It's the best in the series. IMO it held the honor of best Japanese Kaiju film ever made until Shin Godzilla.

The Dolby Atmos audio mixes are remixes but so are the 5.1 audio mixes for the first two films.
The first two films were remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 for their Deluxe Edition LaserDisc releases in Japan and they originally played in Dolby Stereo in cinemas, but the third film was in Dolby Digital 5.1 in cinemas and on LaserDisc but it still had a Dolby Stereo mix.
The Arrow and Kadokawa Blu-rays have both Dolby Stereo and Dolby Digital (remixes for 1 and 2, original mix for 3) mixes in DTS-HD MA.
