Has anyone seen the Gangs of New York Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

Just ordered it from HMV online. I was wondering if anyone has seen it. How's the PQ? I read a review that said it was soft and grainy due to 2nd rate transfer done by a small UK company. Hope this isn't true. I also hear it only has DD 5.1 audio?

I believe it's only available in the UK.... could be wrong tho.

Yeh, apparently so, locked to region b. I read comments on AVforums about it simply being an upscaled dvd, but they appear to be very pro HD-DVD over there.

Either way - I can't find it (I'm ion Australia and hence, region B I beleive) for sale anywhere online - please help!

speaking of the name Tyler Durden. I want fight club on BD. on topic though, i believe gangs of new york is released in England. you could order it online, but before you do so, check the region coding, make sure it is compatible with your PS3 or BD player.

Well, I live in Australia and generally we share a region with the UK from my understanding - but what is driving me nuts is trying to actually find somewhere to order it online.

amazon don't seem to have it listed.

the picture is pretty good. Much better than the DVD, but not a reference title.
