Default AppleTV 4K - 32gb or 64gb ?

I’ve been asked by someone which to choose but I can’t answer that fairly as I always choose the larger storage.

It is only €20 difference between the 32gb and 64gb but €20 is a hefty amount tasty treats for movie time this Christmas.

They have an AppleTV HD 32gb and don’t play many games on the AppleTV at the moment because they find controls are easier on iPhone, but do get occasional periods of a lot of games

What would you folks advise?

I've been using the 32 GB versions for years (first the "HD", then the "4K") and never noticed an issue. I primarily use it for streaming, but have also installed a few games (AG Drive on the projector is fantastic ). tvOS can swap out unused apps to make room if necessary, so I don't think there is any situation where something doesn't work without 64GB.

If they will be buying/playing a lot of games or apps then the 64GB. Otherwise the 32GB should be sufficient.

If you don't play games get the 32g version.

I bought the 64gb one but regret it because I thought I would able to download music and movies on it but you can’t. I should have done research on it. I don’t play games so I really won’t use the space for anything. I did pay $179.99 for it though(used a 10% off coupon I had from Best Buy) which is the price of the 32gb. Save sone money if you don’t plan on playing and downloading games. I still like it though cus I have access to my apple music collection and of course movies and tv shows and various other streaming apps Netflix, Vudu, Movies Anywhere, Disney+, Hulu, Hbo Max.

I have a 32gb myself and tend to only play a small amount of games on any device. I haven’t properly explored Apple Arcade yet and not taken note of how much space any game takes (not at home to check) - I terrible at the auld sums anyway so could advise anyone in how space is enough.

There would be news apps and movie streaming app which I assume are small file sizes.

The amount of games is the issue - like myself not gamers and there could be long periods of no gameplay and times when it is all games.

Regret seems like an extreme emotion to suffer, especially when you didn’t pay full price anyway. Nothing tragic in having too much space.
