The images are for those wanting to know what the packaging is like.

I posted these in the US forum as well under a different thread. The pics I kept limited but to give those picking up the movies a chance to see the packaging.

Star Trek 1 artwork has the doctor mocoys face on it with a white background (same as in the picture of all 6, picture number 2) and the star trek motion picture words across the middle in grey in a blue banner.

If you look at the first screen shot behind the box was the back cover it has some colour pictures and more detail sitting behind the box. The back of each movie is like that.

I put disk one in of star trek TOS and I was supprised to find the second trailer of the new film in full HD and with DTS-HD MA 5.1 which is unusal. Mostly they only bother with standard DD 5.1 or DD2.0 lossy sound.

Hi folks.

As I have just joined I am not apparently allowed to start a thread - frustrating! - so thought I'd ask my question here as it seems relevant:

"Hi folks.

I received the season 3 blu-ray set of TOS Star Trek from Amazon (UK) a couple days back, and was annoyed that it didn't come with the metallic effect cardboard slipcase that my season one set came with.

I ordered a replacement from Amazon and this one also doesn't come with a slipcase.

Can anyone here comfirm whether season 3 sets do not come with this slipcase? Seems a bit odd that they'd do this for season one and two then stop it for the season three sets?

Jim, slipcovers usually come with the first pressings, and later copies don't have them. As I'm assuming you ordered it fairly recently, Amazon has probably simply run out of slipcovered copies.

You may find a slipcover in stores, or at other vendors.

OK thanks that must be it then. I think I'll return it to Amazon though and try and find one with a slipcase from somewhere.
