Reason I hope it's a regular Scanavo case is because I have a spare Scanavo Criterion double disc case that I would like to utilize.

That way I can have both the new Blu and my old Criterion DVD copies (along with insert/booklet/etc.) all in one!

Naked City Blu-ray Review is Up!

Side Note: I remember watching this on TCM and as a person who never got into noir because I think most of those movies are too slow, I really loved this movie a lot which really surprises me in a good way.

The screen captures looks quite impressive for a film that was mishandled and lost camera negative many decades ago. Very good image detail textures, fine density and depth.
I presume the fine grain and interpositive masters was well made in terms of image detail, allowing a fine digital restoration with 4K scanning resoltuion . It required a lot of digital clean up according some informations I got.

Congratulations to the restoration team.

Caps a Holic

Looks gorgeous. Huge upgrade over the Arrow release. I just wish the black levels were better, though (see cap 5 for a bit of lost detail due to incorrect levels, and even the Arrow has poor black levels in some caps). Still, I'd take the Criterion over the Arrow any day due to the massive improvements with regards to detail.

Yep! I ended up selling off both Arrow discs anyway (Brute Force and The Naked City) for the Criterions after seeing a few great reviews.

This is one of the more underrated film noirs I've seen. Watched it for the first time last night. The Criterion release looks great.
