that sounds like some major hardware problems if it crashes like that once a month

also chevy thats what im saying, OSX costs what? about $150 to buy a copy? a retail copy of vista ultimate will run about $250. so why charge so much more for the system on slower hardware? if apple would open up the OS to more hardware i know lots of people even MS employee's who would run OSX in a dualboot setup. i do understand they bundle some sweet apps and us PC users have to go buy those apps or find free apps like them, but those apps do not make up for the price gap.

I'm figuring he owns a 360 and LIKES it when the cardboard coffin shows up at his house enough to throw a party.

i'd dual boot in a heartbeat. but then apple would have the same problem microsoft has with drivers and viruses

Want to run most applications with a Mac? Here's what you're going to need to buy:

PC - $1000
Windows - free with the PC

I'm not sure if that was supposed to not make any sense at all, but ok.

Which I just don't get. Is Vista perfect? No.... but IMO it's FAR FAR FAR FAAAAR from the broken piece of CRAPOLA that was Windows ME. It's a little resource hungry.... but it is EXTREMELY stable and maintains itself quite well. It's the first Windows version ever.... that I haven't had to format and reinstall every few months.

probably true. i think a lot of early adopters got burnt by less than stellar hardware tho. so it ran like trash.

but win7 is a huge improvement over even vista. i think people are going to be pleased. and unless snow leopard brings something significant, apple is going to lose some marketshare
