Default 4K Player, 4K TV and Comcast Hardware Conflicts

I'm not sure where to post this and I'm hoping that someone can help me out with this. I have a 55" Vizio 4K TV, an XBOX One 1TB console and a new Sony 4K UHD player. I noticed associate the problems with my 4K player at first but I noticed that when I have my 4K player connected to my TV, it creates a type of hardware conflict that seems to disassociate itself with my TV.

There are these weird graphics errors that appear, almost like static red lines, the audio wigs out, and sometimes the connection cuts out. I would literally have to reset my cable box to fix the problem. Then, something occurred to me and I unplugged the HDMI connection to my 4K player and the problem halted. Temporarily, until I connect the HDMI cable back in.

Has anyone had problems relating to this? Please note that I don't have the 4K player connected to the cable box. Each component runs from the device to my TV. I'm really looking for a solution to this problem.

You might have a bad port, the HDMI cable could be faulty, or perhaps some freaky signal is being transmitted between your 4K player and your TV. I would also check to see if HDMI CEC is enabled on your player, as that could cause problems.

Check the port on the TV you plugged it into to see if it supports HDMI 2.0, some need to be enabled in the settings on the TV and default to HDMI 1.4 if they're not.

Honestly, I hadn't thought about that because I assumed that it would automatically recognize the new device once I connected it, like my XBOX One and Blu-ray player. But, I took that suggestion and found a setting under System called "CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)" and ran it. For now, it seems to have corrected the issue. My guess is that my Vizio TV didn't properly register the HDMI for my Sony 4K player.

Thanks for the help with this. I just couldn't figure out what the issue was and nothing I found through Google was helping.
