After seeing trailers in 2016 for this show, have no desire to see this show.

What the hell is this Fox?

This show is Lethal Weapon in name only...I like Damon Wayans...but that doesn't mean I am gonna watch another in name only cash grab. If this was called something else? Like Partners? I would be more forgiving...But Lethal Weapon? No friggin' way.

These two actors on this show are not Riggs and Murtagh and don't even try to make me believe they are. They aren't. If it they aren't played by Mel and Danny? It's not Riggs and Murtagh. Wish they gave the characters on this show different names.

And that's the way it is. Because Riggs and Murtagh are pure cinematic iconic characters that were established by Gibson and Glover and are impossible to recast. Same for Michael J Fox as Marty Mcfly, Mark Hamil as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo/Indiana Jones, Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, Macually Culkin as Kevin Mccallister, Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Ackroyd as Ray Stantz, Slyvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, Christopher Lloyd as Doc Emmet Brown, Bruce Willis as John Mcclane etc. as these actors were born to play these cinematic iconic roles.

The track record with recasting pure cinematic icons has been abysmal with stuff like Home Alone 4/5, Robocop ( 3 tv show prime directives and remake), Elm Street remake, Halloween remake (both Laurie and Strode). And this.

Just make your own characters and own franchise instead of riding cottails of popular franchises and popular cinematic classic iconic characters like Riggs and Maurtaugh because to me there's only one Riggs and it's Mel Gibson and there's only one Maurtaugh, it's Glover.
