Question What's the point of custom disc art?

Like what's the point unless it's a BD-R (which if it's a hollywood movie with a blu-ray release is illegal)

I’m sure you can figure out a few reasons why some people might want to use a custom label.

You even alluded to one potential reason.

Because they want it.

Not trying to be sarcastic really but trying to figure out why someone would want something you don't will drive you insane. At the end of the day it doesn't matter why people want things.

Worrying why someone wants something, thinks something, like or dislikes something and so on that you don't is an exercise in futility. If everyone just worried about they liked this would be a much happier place. I'm sure you like a lot of things I don't but I don't care, I'll be dead one day so what others like or think doesn't concern me.

But custom art to me is a waste of time and nothing I'd bother with because in general I don't care about the cover art at all as I only care about what's on the disc itself and I only see it when I pull the movie out to watch. But if someone else likes custom art, slipcovers and so on then that's cool with me.

I've had cover art made for Stranger Things seasons 1&2 because I didn't like the packaging they sold with the discs. I put them in regular blu cases and had a member on here print them out.
