Technically it's the only English-friendly version of the film (the original language being French).

The one drawback is that it only includes English subtitles and not the English dub found on some 2D releases.

Tales of the Night 3D is the only 3D title I have where I have to play two Blu-ray players in synch to get the Taiwanese edition Movie in 3D and be able to listen to the existing English audio track from a 2D Blu-ray U.S. release.

Among those I watched, Call of Heroes is the besst in story. Sex and Zen was hilarious though. I twice burst out laughing.

Yep, a lot of great suggestions for movies and vendors. I got a haul from DDDHouse a few months ago that I am only starting to get to - Flying Swords at Dragon Gate (Full-screen version), Monkey King 3, Sword Master, Thousand Faces of Dunjia, Doraemon Stand By Me, Demons Strike Back, and the Mermaid. So I watched in 2D the Rise of the Legend and while it is a good story, I fear there is just too much night time action. I this regard I prefer Call to Heroes.

But I will still hold out for a better Asian movie. I wish they do a 3D of House of Flyng Daggers and/or Hero. That would be a hoot!

It may have an adult theme but it's certainly not an adult movie, so you chose the right thread. It's been a long time since I watched it but from what I recall the 3D is decent, I think it's native rather than a conversion.

I liked Due West as a movie. Not everyone would. The native 3D is pretty flat, mixed with lots of 2D shots. Its the same crew as Sex and Zen 3D and looks very similar. I liked the story better than Sex and Zen though.

I could not get by reading Sex and Zen in the posts here without bursting out a laugh due to that hilarious scene where he's having the operation.

I've not seen Due West in entirety but have seen the the trailer. My goodness! They have scene that it does not only pop but actually extends out the TV. Now that's the next gen of 3D. And then the Nuru. I'd definitely suggest not to watch the Trailer.

I thought the 3D in Sex and Zen was pretty great, mainly the fighting parts though. I agree that the story isn’t very good (and if you’re expecting to be titillated, don’t be, parts of it are actually kinda gruesome).

Apologies if this is the wrong thread or it's already been mentioned, but does anyone know whether the HK film Magic to Win was ever in 3D?

A 3D BluRay is available from Germany but I can find no other evidence that the film has ever been shown in 3D. I am assuming, therefore, that this is a German autoconversion, but just wanted to check.

There are quite a few Hong Kong movies that got German autoconversions (e.g. The Warlords, Emperor and The White Snake, A Chinese Ghost Story) so it's quite likely that this is another one.

From what I read online, I believe The Emperor and the White Snake is an early Chinese 3D conversion that was released theatrically in 3D. Haven't seen it myself though.

Out of Inferno and Mr. Go are worth seeking. I paid $43.99 for a copy of Out of Inferno on Amazon US not long ago. Don't spend too much for Hara-kiri. It's so flat, you might as well watch it in 2D. I've never seen native 3D so incompetent as that.
