Great movie, really enjoyed it but this disc has the absolute worst banding i think i have ever seen on a blu ray, totally unacceptable for a 2021 disc of a new movie. Signature Entertainment should be ashamed of just how horrific the banding is, it absolutely ruins some scenes and is completely distracting. Just a warning for anyone thinking of picking the UK release up.

The movie really is excellent though, very well done.

The movie really is excellent though, very well done.

Good to know. I have the U.S. disc and haven’t watched it yet but have been curious if the UK one would trounce it (beyond the cover art).

Despite the fact that the back of the German case says it doesn't feature English subs, do you mind letting me (us) know if it actually does when you get it?

I’m glad it wasn’t just me who noticed it. Recently had a shuffle around with units and televisions in the house and I thought I’d inadvertently changed some settings as the banding was atrocious, especially leading into the third act.
I watched this on Tuesday night and thought it was excellent, love Emily Mortimer and haven’t seen her in anything for a while. Surprised this came in a thin black amaray with a nice slip too.
Has also got me a little worried for Possessor (and hopefully Synchronic on blu ray too) though - I’ve been itching to watch it for ages and resisted a digital rental as I wanted to watch in on blu. Hopefully any forthcoming releases from Signature have a better encode.

Picturehouse are screening this in September so I'm hoping the banding won't be an issue on the DCP!

I’ve seen a 4K HDR stream and no banding was present/noticeable.
