Default Ju-On Origins

Still no blu-ray announced...
I really hope for a release as "Stranger Things" and "The Haunting of Hill House" have also made it.
Does anyone know more about it?

Probably shouldn't hope for much. It's a NBC/Universal Japan production made for Netflix who holds worldwide rights to all media. Most of the Netflix 'originals' that made it to disc were because the home video rights stayed with their parent production company (Haunting of Hill House being with Paramount). Stranger Things was the only exception, and the home video release was probably pushed by the shows' creators.

Their business model is dependent on people subscribing to their streaming service. Shouldn't be a huge surprise that therefore they don't release most of their programmes on BD/DVD.

Japan will probably get a Blu-Ray through NBC/Universal. I wouldn't count on it over here though.

If IMDB's listing that Netflix owns all media worldwide is false then the only hope would be for a indie distributor (like Well Go USA) to license the show from NBC/Universal Japan. But it's really hard to say. if that can/will happen.
