I'm shocked that the director's cut is going to be a 4K scan from the original camera negative! Sounds like the theatrical cut will be the same 1.78 master used on Amazon Prime.

I've been holding off watching my R2 Medusa DVD for years because i knew a Bluray release was imminent. Unless 88Films come for this, This is Day One!!

I feel like everyone willed this into existence recently, as I've read a ton of posts on here and social media of people saying they were watching the DVD this past week. Hell, I commented on someone's Facebook post this past week where we were discussing whether or not this would get a proper blu-ray soon!

As a picky individual, I'm admittedly disappointed that the US cut, even though it's a bonus, is going to be based on the 1.78 HD streaming master rather than being reconstructed from the new 4K 2.35 master of the DC... but that's just my work on the 88 Films and Eureka Jackie Chan titles tapping at my brain, lol. Granted, this is a Super 35mm film, but the framing on the 1.78 version is a bit all over the place.

I hope that it doesn't have the original 5.1 in only in Dolby digital. It must be lossless quality

I literally was about to post the same thing. Crying Freeman hasn't even gotten a DVD here.

Either way, this seems like it would be right up my alley, so I'll be buying this.
