Not always does Amazon.com have 2K blu-rays in stock.
Can someone recommend me the best websites in the US, that sell 2K blu-rays with international shipping? I love websites with stock estimates, not a necessity, though. Thanks! |

It depends on what blu-ray titles you're looking for. Some blu-ray movies are not available in the US they'll have to be imported, (if you're region free equipped) and other obscured and limited titles are manufactured and sold by independent companies.

Well, to be honest, 1920 is closer to 2K than 3840 is to 4K. I don't think anyone would 'buy' the term 3K.
Could of said blu-ray, or 1080p, people are probably used to seeing 1080p as a definition, but then again do you use 2160p for 4K, 2160p blu-ray? You just need to get your heads around 2K, it's actually a thing, it's just too far from 1K, but perhaps that's your prefered terminology. Also, in DCI, 2K is actually 2048 and 4K 4096, what should we then call 1920, and most importantly, 3840? Consumer world is a b*tch. If you wan't to be real picky, 2048 DCI is for scope, 1998 flat, 4096 and 3996 respectively. Last edited by stmhlm; 02-03-2021 at 01:26 PM. |

Indeed, they only meant 4 times 1920, but does that equal to 4K or 4000? Nope.
It's terrible, but aren't 1080p blu-rays (there you have it!) scanned at 1920x1080, though? I mean, it's the scanning process that creates the pixels in the first place, but then again I'm not sure what resolution is tied to a 2K digital intermediate. BDA never had a short terminology for 1080p Full HD, but that doesn't justify 4K for 3840, 2160p Ultra HD is the better choice, at least it is correct. |
