Blu-Ray Player - Blu-ray Forum

Hello I just bought a new Panasonic 50S1 plasma and now i about to get myself a new blu ray player i love Panasonic and am thinking i will probably go with the Panasonic DMP-BD35K it got the editors choice from c-net and I have read some good things about it also i like being able to use the Viera link. I would like some feedback I am not the richest man but I do pretty good for my age (24). I just don't know much about blu-ray players and would like to know what i should get for a good price i do not plan on spending over $300. Thanks so much in advance i love this site!!

Get the Sony 350, it's an excellent blu-ray player and should be under $300.

The Panasonic BD35 is a nice player and it's remote will also control your TV. I'd also consider the newer Panasonic models that just came out, the BD60 and BD80.

^ I think just about any HDMI interface component will work with the television's remote, but I can't back that up with the models in question in this thread. It usually works that way, though, so you don't necessarily have to get a matching brand player.

Either way, congrats on the new TV. I have a BDP-S550 hooked up to my 50" Samsung A550 plasma, and it is awesome. Wolverine1980 brought up the S350, which is a similar model. You can't really go wrong with Sony or Panasonic for Blu-ray players.

I have a 42" Panasonic plasma in my bedroom and just ordered the Panasonic DMP-BD60 from 6ave.com. It should be here soon.

I'd go with the one you're mentioning. Best bang for you buck.
