Schindler's List edges it out for me for a few reasons, chief on them being the use of color in the final moments, which could very well be the most powerful moments ever made in American filmmaking as far as I'm concerned.

Schindler's List is one of the very few movies I'd say is objectively perfect (...from my subjective point of view, whatever that's worth

).

SPR is a whopper of an experience, but there were always a few issues I had with it.

Two very different films but both are masterpieces. Schindler's List has a bigger impact, so it gets my vote.

The best is undoubtedly SL, but my personal fave is SPR. As the thread is asking which one's my favorite, I voted for the latter.

Both are fantastic movies. Schindler's List edges out Ryan for two large reasons: The music from John Williams was beyond incredible (Ryan is good but not top tier Williams for me) and the black and white cinematography was a master stroke.

Saving Private Ryan is my most favorite Spielberg and war movie.

Schindler's List is also is the excellent movie ever seen.
