Is the remaster of the original coming to PS5 too, or just this?

I played the demo to the first Life is Strange where you're walking in the school looking for clues. It was interesting, but not my style of gameplay.

This reminds me of a high school dramatic film that unfolds with some supernatural elements in there. While it's not for me, it's cool that it found its audience as I hear a lot of praise for this series.

The last few seconds of that video above remind me of Disney's Inside Out, where you see different colors for different emotions.

The original is not too bad but it's highly cliched. I love the sequel though, with the two brothers.

Didn’t know this was gonna be a thing.

Just looked it up.

The Ultimate Edition will include the first game & “Before the Storm” along with the new game this September. They mention you will also be able to get the first 2 games (Life is Strange/Before the Storm) individually on PS5 as well.

No mention of Life is Strange 2.

I only finished the first & maybe second episode of LiS2. Didn’t grab my attention like the first games which were awesome.

Didn’t Microsoft buy Dotnot? I thought they did.

They made the Microsoft exclusive Tell Me Why, but Tencent has majority stake in the company. And regardless, I believe Life is Strange fully belongs to Square Enix. Hence why Dotnot aren't involved with this new game.

Thanks.

Yeah I noticed after posting, Dotnod isn’t involved with this new game. The new trailer doesn’t sell me on the game. The mechanics are interesting though. Sensing other people’s “emotions” to make your decisions is unique take on the series.

I imagine the second game is still a little too ‘new’ to need a remaster. It would be nice to have a full collection though. This is coming from the guys who did the prequel game, so I’m pretty hopeful it’ll be solid, it’s also nice that it’s getting released as one whole game instead of episodes, I dunno if that might wind up be a bit of a knock against it’s length though.

The first game looked pretty damn good for the time. Despite the lip syncing and whatnot. I dunno how different a Remaster could give justice for, but I'll definitely try it out.

I didn't play the Second game when it came out, I only watched playthroughs of it but I never bothered getting past Episode 4 of that one, I have it, just need to play it. This one does sound interesting though and I liked Tell Me Why well enough.

Looks really good. Might get this day one if there isn't anything I'm playing at the time.

My only wish for this series is to give the player more direct control but this I believe is more like a story game more than a pure gameplay video game. Like the Telltale story choice games. Most of the time it's about minor puzzle solving to advance the story cutscenes.

Thanks. Yeah, I got through most of episode 1 of the sequel Life is Strange 2, while it was free on PSN store. I was relieved to get out of the house and begin the journey along the rural forest road. That deli gas station I finally managed to escape but then I got distracted by other, newer video games. It was interesting though, like a choose your own adventure book.

This is maybe my most anticipated game for the rest of the year. The first and BtS are amongst my favorite games. I just platinum LiS2 and... Even if they remastered it (it doesn't need one) I dont think I'd play it again. I liked episodes 1-3, but 4 and 5 were just... no thank you, lol.

I love the Life is Strange games, and there’s a lot of interesting things in this, but I’m waiting to find out how long it is before I pick it up. Being just a one off I’d be annoyed if this equates to a couple of hours.
