Default Kam and Ronson BDs

I have the first pressing of Kung Fu Chefs, and it's gone completely bronzed and dead, like a lot of titles from this company did.

As I understand it, this has been repressed after a short while OOP, but it doesn't seem to be stocked by DDDHouse for some reason.
Anyway, is there any information on the reliability of these newer pressings of K&R discs? Are they exhibiting the same problems as the older ones or are they ok this time? Thanks.

The repress is not from K&R, they are from Panorama.

You could always email DDDHouse and ask if they're able to get the Panorama edition.

Hmmm. The one on the Panorama page has identical cover art from my K&R disc, right down to the Dolby True HD sticker. Have they just used a placeholder?
Are Panorama ok with regards to the HK disc rot situation I've heard about? I bought three of the thier discs recently, and one of them has a strange purple area for about half of the disc with a white milky liine around it. :/

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. Maybe inquire in this thread about HK discs/bronzing? https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=316362

I would at least like to think that Panorama did a new pressing, but it's hard to say. 1:1 artwork isn't necessarily surprising, I doubt there is much incentive to make new artwork as opposed to reusing old materials. Selling off old K&R stock wouldn't make much sense? Their edition does have a new UPC after all!

For what it's worth, Panorama does have a Facebook page and they are responsive on there...although with something technical like this, I don't know how good of an answer you're going to get.
