Mission successful. New arm installed.

It was a bit tricky getting the skin tone of the new arm close to the old one. I got as close as I could get, then blended the old arm in over the new arm very subtly right up to the wrist. I may tweak it a bit more, but it works. In any event, I'll be sure to make the full size cover art available here once it's ready.

I'm no expert at pq quality, but I do have the dvd and the so called hd streaming versions and can say with confidence this is definitely the best this has looked!l!

Just to give you a heads up, don't be discouraged by the opening credits and the very beginning (sprinklers). It improves dramatically!

When I first watched this I thought utt oh. But then I was pleasantly happy with the rest.

Excellent. Thanks for the heads up. Not terribly uncommon to see what you've described. Seen this with a number of older films I own on Blu-ray. Good to know things steadily improve after the opening minutes of the film.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time working up the below.

All things considered it turned out okay I guess.

Should look pretty decent once printed out I would imagine.

Anyone compare it to the Vudu HD version? Wonder if it's better then that. I have both versions, but love this movie so bought the Blu-ray anyway. Looking forward to watching it when I get back in town!

I revisited the cover art for this I posted last night with fresh eyes. (See a couple posts back here.) I improved Walter Matthau's left arm quite a bit. You'd be hard pressed to tell I replaced it. (Well, I just put back what Paramount replaced.) It's pretty much spot on now. Anyway, it's there if anyone wants it. Enjoy!
