Hot damn! After seeing how much worse Second Sight’s encoding of TAKE SHELTER was compared to Sony’s, I was concerned this might be a similar case of an American release offering a superior transfer. No possible way that could be true now!

Interesting. I was under the impression all Second Sight's releases were encoded at FiM, but I guess it's not the case.

TAKE SHELTER says “Blu-Ray mastering: Mike Chernett and Andrew Brandse at Freehand.” And compared to the folks over at Sony, they did an awful job. Second Sight’s edition justifies its existence only because of its gorgeous packaging and exclusive bonus features.

Second Sight's The Host and Under the Shadow are by FiM. Arbelos' Satantango and Arrow's UHD of Cinema of Paradiso are also by FiM.

I'm not being fastidious, but for Mondo Macabro's Killer Dolls you meant Killer of Dolls?

I think you’re thinking of MFSL, Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.

Vinegar's SexWorld doesn't mention it AFAICT, but should also be FiM. Think some of the latest Arrow 4Ks are also still missing.
