Default Italy abolished government film censorship.

I'm all for LESS censorship in games, movies, and so on.

Censorship is a stain on democratic societies.

Doesn't sound like it will really change much except to decriminalise certain cultural transgressions in Italy.

Now if only China would do the same.

I'm not holding my breath, though.

Germans are pretty bad too, especially when it comes to video games. They think the Fourth Reich will rise if little jimmy sees a bit of blood in a COD

A bit of an overreaction, but I can (sadly) see where they're coming from. There were vids of quickscopers crying, punching walls and sending the devs death threats after Vahn nerfed two of the sniper rifles in BO2. Clearly they aren't (or should I say, weren't) mature enough to be playing COD, which, last I checked, is rated M, talk about bad parenting. And the snipers were STILL OP AF.

But yeah, f*ck China and their draconian censorship policy. Logan was badly butchered, needing to cut 14 minutes (!) to be shown there and Deadpool was outright banned in China because Fox couldn't censor it without causing plot problems. No wonder piracy is so rampant over there.
