Superb. Bottom rung Milius but some cracking aerial action and Dafoe more than makes up for Brad Johnson. Going to be the barest of bones like all these Paramount catalogue titles that have come out - and no doubt will reuse the existing master - but I’ll take it.

No, the old release is still $90+ from market sellers. The new release that is upcoming is $14.

Interesting that the original is like $40 for a BD-25 but the 2021 release is on a BD-50.. So there is a big difference it seems somewhere.. Better video or more extra's I have no clue.. Yes I watched this on the theater, had the dvd, was too late for the OOP 2010 one. $90 seriously. Nope.. but $8.99 hell yeah

I don't have the old release to compare or even confirm that it was BD-25. Sometimes people enter the specs wrong. I try to correct them myself when I get a disc and see that it's not right.
Anyway, the new release BD-50 is 37.05 GB. It's just the movie and based on the previous review has additional 2.0 Dolby Digital tracks and subtitles for German, French and Japanese. I wouldn't expect that to boost the size a whole lot. At minimum it would seems to just have more space for encoding. Caps-a-holic has more rate information: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=16214&d2=16211&c=6138 Video on new release: 35739 kbps Old release: 20980 kbps Transfer looks exactly the same. |

Transfer would be what's used as the source of the encode, which appears to be the same. So the differences would like with encoding quality / compression noise differences that turn up more with motion so the stills may not reflect the improvements.
