Just how many times can one release these Deadpool movies lol. I have one Deadpool 2 steelbook, got it for cheap.
Just got the first movie pre-ordered as lenticular 4K from zavvi even tho I have no idea how you make a steelbook lenticular (assuming it means 3D-ish). I like this artwork but, what will it look like in reality? Anyone have an idea?

Has Zavvi ever done lenticulars that cover the whole face of the steelbook, rather than leaving a border?

Not that I have ever seen. This is what they always have as thier lenticular steelbook magnet

Looks terrible. Like a cheap hologram card glued to a steel case. Lenticular slipcovers are cool because they cover the entire surface, corner to corner. Steelbooks are cool because the art is on the metal, again corner to corner. The border ruins the esthetic. Overall the two formats just don’t blend well IMO.

Cool then you probably shouldn’t buy this.

The good news is it is not glued on as you can see. I like it because you can always take off the magnet and admire the steelbook and it adds that extra pop especially if you keep them in a plastic protector. I’m happy with my previous ones and I’m excited for this set.

3eccaTron thank you very much for the detailed answer, exactly answers my question, and sadly like some other feel, I don't like it, simply because of the border. I might look into cancelling my zavvi order for it and getting the normal steelbook, except that I did want the 4K version in a steelbook.

Or maybe ill keep it, it might look good, and order the 2K version and keep the lenticular for trading except that Ill never bring myself to let anything go

You’re very welcome! One thing to note is not all the steelbooks have an embossed border. Some of the Marvel ones such as Guardians of the Galaxy II and Thor Ragnarok were flat steelbooks with no embossing and the magnet included like this video shows actually:

It does seem to be less likely these will be like that as it is less common formatting but you never know until it comes.

I think I'll stick with the order. Worst case I'll stick it on my fridge

If you watch the video for the Avengers: Endgame SteelBook closely after the magnet is removed you'll see that the reason that the SteelBook has a border is because the title and parts of the image on the front of the SteelBook are embossed (raised).

Pretty much all SteelBooks that have that border are because they have embossing on the area inside the border area.

For most people, this is the preferred style of SteelBooks.

Glossed and 'bossed.

I noticed that the French market has the same releases for both Deadpool 2K and 4K and Deadpool 2K and 4K steelbooks (the latter being lenticular): is there any previous case that would indicate the content of the disc will be identical, knowing it's Fox(ney)?
Knowing how French releases often have forced substitles I would not want to get scrrrr.
I haven't cancelled my zavvi order but also placed an order for the French ones as they are quite cheaper for me.
