Screened this disc tonight. Very nice job... Plenty sharp (well except for the stock footage), clear sound. The movie had a strange even sort of pacing. It didn't really feel like a science fiction movie and there was no "Magnetic Monster" anywhere in the film. But it kept my interest throughout. I do have to say though, the music was completely inappropriate. It sounded like the score to a romance movie, not a science thriller. Richard Carlson was good as always, and it was fun seeing my home town of Burbank back in the 50s. Interesting architecture and street scenes. Glad I got it. But I sure didn't pay $30! That list price is absurd for a film like this.

Now it's $12.49.
But purpose in writing is to critcize Brian O for awarding 1 star for extras. It has a trailer and commentary, for a very minor film - one star? How about at least 3? The extras star is frequently abused by BR.com reviewers, IMHO. |
