Default Future Force 1&2 (1990) BluRay

I bought this from eBay and just watched it. Here is my question : does anyone know the history of what source was used for this release? The PQ looks like it was taken from a Beta tape, but it’s advertised as 1080p Full HD. I’m not sure if it’s just because it was shot on low quality film stock. If anyone has any info, please post. I’m sure something like Action USA (1989) was shot on similar film stock, but when they scanned the negative into HD, it looked pristine. This on the other hand looks like VHS 360p, but again, I could be wrong.

What do you expect the "worldbest" quality from the master of remastering Oliver Krekel (DigiDreams).

No seriously, nearly every DtV-Movie from Digi was sourced from a DigiBeta, cause a better source "doesn't exist anymore" (or he couldn't get his hands on...).

If you want an example for Digi's "Remastering" from 35mm just look at the picture quality of "Angel Town".

"If it is in 1080p resolution it is Full HD. Because 1080p technically means Full HD, no matter what the source material was. If I upscale a VHS to 1080p it is full HD. End of discussion"

Oliver Krekel (quote from memory)

Does anyone know what's the name of the song in the car chase seen? It's not included in the soundtrack.

A search for this disc brings up this text [translated]:

ATTENTION: There is no longer any 35mm material available worldwide for these films. That's why these films were adapted from the last remaining PAL-BetaSP SD video tapes to Full HD format
Just about everything released by Action International Pictures was shot on film, but edited on videotape. There probably isn't a film master of this, or most of their films. A number of their films have been released on Blu such as Mankillers, Shock 'Em Dead and Deadly Prey, all upscaled from PAL-Beta tape masters.

Raw Nerve was released by Culture Shock a while back, and it's the only A.I.P. title I know of to be remastered from 35mm. DTV outfits like A.I.P. generally didn't think long term about looking after their elements.
