Default No Heroes on the Blu.

I'm pretty pissed that we wont be getting Heros on Blu-ray... But we will be getting Lost.

I'm sure this could have been posted somewhere else. but i'm new.

so call me a noob, yell at me. then tell me where I should have posted.

Just give me 24. All I need is Bauer power. I like Hereos, but its cheezy if you ask me.

If HD-DUD had Jack exclusively I'd have no choice but to switch. So glad we got Fox!

I would have probably bought Heroes on blu-ray, but with 24 and Smallville, I am happy...BTW WELCOME!

Have the Standard DVD of this, it's good enough. Honestly, I've seen a 720p rip (not any 1080p) and it doesn't give me anything that is "worthwhile" superior.

The ONLY thing that would draw me to a higher format for Heroes, is the subtitles. It is an overlooked point, but the subtitles are so accurate and crisp (text looks lovely, and it doesn't appear on screen early or late). My hearing is starting to go, so I have trouble hearing the dialog. I watch the movie in English with the English subtitles on.

Standard DVD subtitles are often horrid, either in ghastly text or appear too early or too late to go with the dialog that I can mostly hear. Heroes is one with bad subtitles on the standard ones.

Lost has got way better "HD show-off visuals" than Heroes anyway - jungle scenes anyone?

Im not going to use this thread to rip into heroes. I think the show is great, and it annoys me that we wont see it until universal goes exclsuive. I still believe that is closer to reality now then ever before though.

I love Heroes and Lost but after watching the episodes once i really can't be bothered to watch them again. They lose all the anticipation that you had first time round.

Sorry to burst other people's bubbles, but Heroes had mediocre dialoge for what could have been a truly great series. It was stained by a lack of direction in the first part (save the cheerleader, save the world), say, episodes 1 to 12, more or less, went uphill for the following episodes, doing a crescendo that was obliterated by the imense failure that was the season finale. Build up tension to end in a 2 minute "fight" with zero effects and no really mise-en-scéne at all between the vilain and the hero?

What happened? Did they pull the plug on the budget? That last episode certainly proved everything that was wrong with the series. I'm not even gonna bother with the DVD release.

Bring on Prison Break 1 & 2!

J.

And the point of your non-blu-ray related heros bashing was?

That show does not hold up to repeated viewings anyway.

I so agree. I went to go pick this up today, but when I saw there was no blu-ray I skipped it. Wanted to be ready for Season 2, but oh well. What I haven't watched I won't miss.

I passed on Prison Break S2 as well... wish that was on Blu-ray.

Just for fun I would club a baby seal for Arrested Development on blu-ray. That picture would be crisp and the sound track would make my day everyday.

Prison Break Season 1 was announced for Blu Ray with a November 13th release date and will feature a DTS-HD audio track.
