we don't need 80% of the movies that come out of hollywood (or at least i personally don't ), but it's a business and people are in it to make money. wolverine's opening weekend more than proved there are thousands upon thousands of fans interested in xmen spinoffs.

I wish they wouldve had less characters in the wolverine movie tho
And just focused more about wolverine

Bingo. I'm all for the movie.

Especially since they're supposed to introduce young Beast in this one.

sussudio is spot on...hollywood is about entertainment, movies like these tend to grab more people's attention.

besides, if u don't want to see a movie, don't go.

When the Magneto film was first talked about, they mentioned they were designing a 'Young Beast' for the film. I'm guessing he'll have as much play in the story as Young Scott does in Wolverine. Remember, Beast says "My boy I've been fighting for mutant rights since before you had claws". Which puts Hank active close to 20 years ago, since X1 is 15 years after XMO: Wolverine. And he's also grown a great deal larger than his original X-Men suit seen in X3. Perhaps a young mutant that Magneto saves... and brings to the school with him. Which also adds an interesting dynamic to X3, in the fact that it's Hank who does the deed of depowering Magneto.

I agree. I think a Villain movie could be fun. Lets put this into perspective. I heard this movie rumored about the same time i heard about wolverine a few years ago. This is not a movie that just came to someone because Wolverine did well. This was "underdevelopment" at the same time wolverine was. I heard about both of these shortly after X Men: The last stand was released in theaters.

Indeed. But they have to work Twinkies into the story somehow.

Maybe Hank surviving on Twinkies, when Magneto finds him. Or better yet, Magneto giving Hank Twinkies... which is the first act of kindness that he receieves. Actually, that would be a nice story beat.

We got "Oh my stars and garters" in X3. Now we need Beast's obsession with Twinkies.

correct, but it's going to happen because wolverine did well. they halted development on it to wait and see how wolverine performed at the B.O.

No more spinoffs I was up for the idea for a Wolverine spin off but fox F--ked that up. What we need is a X-Men movie done right not these back storys.

There was nothing wrong with the Wolverine spin-off. It was pretty damn good.

And that's coming from someone who hates Logan and loathes Deadpool.
