It's weird how critical I am in the home theater department, but in my car I run Sony Xplod all around, receiver, speakers, and one 10" sub. Sounded damn good to me when I put them on my Galant back as a freshy in college! What do you run in your vehicle?

I had dual 12"JL Audio subs in my Grand Cherokee...but one of the drivers went bad. (I did buy "open" box item from Sound Advice )

Luckily I still had my 12" Cerwin Vegas still around, so I run two of those with dedicated mono Rockford Fosgate BD Amps, also have rockford fosgate speakers in the car on a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate Amp.

I also have the best in-dash CD player Sony ever made...CDX M630



...when the car is off, the faceplate is pitch black. Although its an older model with no mp3 support, it still bad ass.

Just put it in a couple weeks ago and love it, the startup time does not bother me when it does so much. Bluetooth paired right to my krave and works great. Now i just need to finish it with a sub, amp and door speakers.

My Pionneer went wacko on me. I really liked it when it worked, but it was really slow and then started doing weird things and rebooting all the time.

I had the AVIC-F90BT which also had bluetooth.

I replaced it with a kenwood and so far it is working great. a lot faster and has built-in garmin.

I'm a really critical listener when I'm at home, but in the car I could care less. Just bought a 2008 Sentra and I didn't even bother to check what sound system it came with it. Is that weird or what?

which subs do you prefer the jl audio or the cerwin vegas which models are they?

just got the 700bt pioneer installed next speakers subs and amps

I really hope pioneer does a 3.0 update in june.

I definitely prefered the JL Audio subs (W6's)...they hit HARD.

The Cerwin Vegas (not sure which model) hit pretty good, but not as low.

The hair on my neck use to stand up with the JL's.

I was looking at the kenwood also but it had less features and cost over $600 dollars when i only paid $385 for the pioneer. Nothing on the market can touch what the 700bt does for it's price point.

Sorry to hear you had trouble with yours, i think you had the face plate kind right, i thought the 90bt was not a full in dash nav unit and only a screen like a xm controller?

So far no issues with mine except for the adapter which is a American international type i think, it is getting switched out for a PAC version without those damn chimes. The one i have now goes crazy with the chimes and sends a pop to the speaker every time the chimes go off. Stupid car makers need to stop integrating everything, these damn adapters can run more then the stereo depending on how high end you go!

Through the ipod yes, it is not a dvd player though, the premiere line one the 900bt does that and is about another 2 bills but does double the man. warranty.

Dvd was just not a concern for me, was more interested with the ipod controlling and nav. The blue tooth was a nice bonus feature also.

yeah thats why I got that since if I wanted one it was out of my pocket.

mines been great. only once has it acted up, but its been fine I think a new update is coming out in june the 2.0 one made it amazing so if they do anything like that for the next one the unit should be perfect.

that and JL Audio is waaaaay over priced. great speaker non the less

Infinty 6" component sets in the front doors with the Infinity tweeters mounted in the front pillars (kept the stock tweeters in the door as well.) Infinity 6" in the rear... all powered by an Alpine amp. An Infinity powered sub in the hatchback. I kept the stock Piooneer head unit. It's not top notch but it's more than decent and I didn't want to lose my steering wheel controls or the MP3 jack in the front console.

They sell adapters for the steering controls, and most new radios come with front post jacks along with usb and mem stick access. Just for future reference, you can do just about anything as long as you have the cash lol.

I knew I could get an adaptor for the steering controls.... only about $100.... but I like the MP3 jack hidden inside my console too. Less clutter around the dash. I hate clutter.

they can hide the wires anywhere for the right price aswell I know pioneer needed a special cable for the ipod if you wanted all the features. I paid like 10 bucks extra the guy ran them into my arm rest box thing lol
