The Reviewed version here says it has a "Making of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest—Clocking in at 47 minutes..."

And "Deleted Scenes" which might be the same as the "additional scenes."

And, I assume the same Documentary(?)

The US Ultimate Collector's Edition also says that about the doc, and with it mentioning "in it's full original length", would suggest to me the old 47 minute one is just edited down for whatever reason(s). I'm sure deleted and additional scenes are the same deal.
What I don't understand is why is the UCE cost about half what the digibook does secondary on Amazon (closer on ebay, but still less), when it has so much more going for it? This ain't comics, so most don't care about "first prints" or earlier versions, just the best ones. Does anyone know if the book in the UCE is the same content as the digi? Maybe it has to do with them being available at Wal-Mart for $14 last year for a couple of weeks? Maybe how it fits on the shelf? Make it make sense!

I had the old laserdisc with the 87 minute doc. I picked up the UCE when it was under $20 on Amazon. My understanding is the cut-down version that appeared on previous discs dropped the history of the original novel and subsequent play and focused on the film version.

Neither. It is controlled by the Saul Zaentz estate. WB has only licensed the film. It is not an MGM property and never has been, in the 1970's it was released by United Artists.

Yeah. I’m not one of the 4K harpers on here, but I’m surprised it’s taking them so long with this. It’s possible they’re having issue with the rights to the book, but I doubt it since it’s already had a release. Same goes for A Clockwork Orange.

Might also have to do with the Zaentz estate, who Warner licensed the film from. But I believe they’re in the process of a 4K restoration of Amadeus right now, so this should probably follow.

Can anyone confirm that the standard UK blu-ray release is in fact region free? I read that all Warner BD's are region free but wasn't sure if this was true or not.

The 3 UK releases listed on the site all have been verified by users to be region free.

I don't know if I can wait for a 4K release of this (I've been holding off on buying Taxi Driver on BD for way too long waiting for the alleged incoming 4K release), so I'll likely just pickup the standard UK BD release for now.

Apparently TD 4K is arriving in Sept. in this box set.
