Seeing Sony release Sense and Sensibility on 4K UHD is an unexpected surprise, and I love them for it!

It's been in 4K for a long time on Netflix, so the restoration was ready. I'm glad they will release it on UHD, it's a great movie.

Just give me Emma Thompson's commentary and I can sell the TT version. This is my most coveted title in Volume 2.

Excuse me, but how do you know that SENSE AND SENSIBILITY has been in 4K on Netflix?

When exactly was SENSE AND SENSIBILITY restored in 4K? I'm asking because I own Twilight Time's Blu-ray edition of the film, shown here:

Anyway, I read rumors that the Blu-ray (now out of print) was sourced from a 4K remaster. I don't know for sure if this is true.

When were all those other films restored? It's not like studios inform us about it everytime and not every movie has anniversary 4K re-releases.

The 4K version on Netflix looks like the screenshots from Twilight Time edition and it's clearly native 4K, believe me, although Netflix's compression does everything to destroy all that grain. I'm sure it will look stunning on disc.

I never bought the digital copy because it was 4K and no HDR. I'm thrilled Emma Thompson's commentary is there -- it's terrific. Plus, I saw in the press release:

NEW: 25th Anniversary Reunion: Back to Barton Cottage – an expansive on-camera reunion featuring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Greg Wise, Imelda Staunton, Imogen Stubbs, Myriam Francois, producer Lindsay Doran, and director Ang Lee

I have it too, and it was sourced from a 4k remaster.
I won't update.

Kind of a disappointing set IMO. So many titles on that list which I would have taken over these. Still going to buy it, though. I wanted Gilda.

Looks like a nice set but some of the inclusions seem a bit spotty to me. I was never a big fan of Stripes (for one thing). However, I'll give it another go on 4K.

I'd love a standalone edition of this. Maybe down the road?

Maybe but who knows how far down the road... Wednesday will be exactly 1 year since the vol 1 set came out and we still haven't gotten any of those individually yet.

Several of the movies included in Volume 1 will be released as solo releases in July 2021.
