Fox continued moving ahead with Alien only after they saw the sales of Star Wars, in a time when science fiction movies weren't that popular anymore. Alien brought in some of the same artists and had a similar "used" look in places. Both went over budget. Both are considered masterpieces of their respective genres. Which is better?

as wonderful as STAR WARS is, I think that ALIEN is the better film.
