iTunes v original theatrical artwork - Blu-ray Forum

Aside from Apple's tendency to repeatedly change the artwork on movie titles, another annoyance for me is that they often don't use the original theatrical artwork, which in many cases is quite stunning and/or nostalgic.

Is this a big issue for you?

(I realise there are many, many titles that do have the theatrical art, but there are enough that don't to make it a problem)

You do realise the artwork has 0% anything to do with Apple, the Studios are responsible for all artwork changes.
Overall I’m not that bothered as long as I can watch the movie, but I guess one gripe I do have is that quite often there’s no uniformity in artwork between the Movies app and the ATV app.
Occasionally the ATV app artworks are better, take the James Bonds as an example as sometimes they use the original movies posters which is nice to see.

I have never really cared about artwork or steelbooks myself. I care about a great video and audio presentation period.

It depends. Generally I prefer the original artwork, but sometimes the newer artwork is good too.

People need to understand that is a Store just - that Apple are not distributors for anything except the content of their TV+ service.

The sell the goods for the distributors and keep the service maintained for us customers.

It is thisi second part that we should be contacting Apple about.
